Acquisition Process

Buying a Kitten from Sunshine Maine Coon Cattery: A Step-by-Step Guide

Step One: Explore Available Kittens

Browse our available kitten profiles to find a match for your desired temperament. Contact us by phone or email to inquire about specific kittens. Due to high demand, we recommend placing an order and reserving your chosen kitten to ensure availability.

Step Two: Secure Your Kitten

To reserve a kitten, a 50% deposit is required. We accept credit cards and bank transfers. For Zelle transfers, a $500 deposit is needed. Contact our customer care team to receive your purchase receipt. Deposits are valid for 30 days.

Step Three: Complete the Purchase Agreement

After placing your order, you will receive a Purchase Agreement and Ownership Transfer Certificate via email within 1-2 days. We will update the kitten’s health certificate with our licensed vet to confirm their health status before delivery.

Step Four: Health Examination and Delivery Scheduling

We will take each kitten to our certified vet for a recent health examination and issue a health certificate required for travel. This process typically takes 1 day. Afterward, we will schedule a delivery date or pick-up time.

Step Five: Finalize Payment and Shipping Arrangements

Once shipping arrangements are made, full payment is required before delivering your kitten. We offer nanny services for $200 within the US and $350 for Canada; costs may vary for other locations.

Step Six: Delivery Timing and Cancellation Policy

Kittens are usually delivered within 1-2 days from the purchase date, subject to the flight nanny’s schedule. We reserve the right to extend the delivery time if necessary. Cancellations are accepted only under valid circumstances, and payments are refundable under specific conditions.

Step Seven: Kitten Transport and Communication

Our experienced in-flight nannies will care for your kitten from our facility to your delivery address, maintaining constant communication with you. Please be flexible with their schedules and understanding of any delays.
